Sports Premium

At Flockton First School, physical education is an intergral part of our curriculum. We work collaboratively with the Shelley Pyramid Sports partnership to ensure we deliver high quality PE lessons that allow our children to develop both sporting and personal skills across a broad range of sports and physical activities. We encourage participation in competitive sport but also teach our pupils to try their best and showcase excellent sportsmanship. By ensuring our children have positive sporting experiences at school, alongside encouraging and celebrating achievements out of school, we aim to promote active and healthy lifestyles that will continue throughout future life.

To achieve our aim we will focus funding on:

Improving high quality PE
Increasing the range of extra-curricular activities and sports provision
Improving competitive opportunities
Working in collaborative partnerships with pyramid schools and the community to develop sporting pathways for all pupils.
